    ON KEEPING IT SIMPLE

    Mon, Apr 18, 2011 13:00

  • When it comes to getting dressed, simplicity is always key. I like an outfit I can throw on as I'm running out of the door and not have to worry about again. No fancy tricks or anything too unexpected. Life is full of enough complications as it is, and getting dressed shouldn't be one of them.
I'm a simple girl with simple sorts of pleasures. Ice cream, toes dug into the sand, wash and go hair, and no fuss outfits are what make my heart flutter. To be honest, I'm not that fussed over piling on elaborate accessories or having to 'style' a piece. Pulling, nipping, belting and tying - it all looks good in editorials and on the catwalk, but in real life? Sometimes I think it's a bit more hassle than it's worth.
Which is exactly why I'm a total sucker for a good dress.
A dress can be a complete godsend. Straightforward and hassle-free, as long as you have your underwear sorted there really isn't much that can go wrong.
Unless of course you aren't able to find someone to unzip you at the end of the night. In which case you might need to devise an elaborate strategy involving a twisted arm and hanger... but if that's the biggest of your worries, I'd say you're doing something right.
