Flik’s SS11 collection entitled “Mannequin Parade” is homage to self-empowerment and strength. “I design clothes for strong elegant women who aren’t afraid to wear bold pieces”. I want her to feel confident and powerful in my clothing, and keep my pieces in her wardrobe for years to come.

This collection will showcase Flik’s signature aesthetic of bold silhouettes and captivating prints, creating a visual dialogue about the possibilities and limits of body modification. A strict use of clean sharp lines control, alter and expose the body with precision that injects hints of provocation and a sardonic tinge of violence. A high octane mix of materials including sensuous goat hair, coarse raffia, and pearly leather add new dimensions to her work. Many of the garments display prints of body parts that are both confronting and intriguing as they interact with garments.
